Asset Languages - (level 1 & 2)

Course ref. QW077

This course is designed to enable you to:
  • Develop your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in a foreign language either on their own, or in any combination you choose
  • Develop your vocabulary in the chosen language

Is it for me?
Each individual skill – listening, speaking, reading and writing – forms a separate qualification. All instructions, questions and answers are in English, so you don’t have to read or write the language to take a listening or speaking test.

What’s involved?
You may study all - or a combination - of these areas of the language through a range of methods:
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking

The focus of the lessons is on enjoyment of learning the language and it does not carry a heavy homework load.

Entry Requirements:
A keen interest in learning another language.

Which courses go well with this?
This course offers students studying other language AS Levels, or other Level 2 courses, the opportunity to try another language.

Progression:
You could proceed to further study in the language studied - for example you could progress to GCSE Spanish in College. It is impressive on your Record of Achievement as an extra-curricular activity, as a new skill for the Duke of Edinburgh Award or on your CV when looking for employment, for example, in the travel and tourism industry.
